Silas of CARMA was a foster fail for me. He was one of many foster kittens I had cared for that year however, I felt there was just something special about him and how he connected to me,
Silas did not prove me wrong. I started showing him in the Household Pet Category cat shows in the area. He was a natural and had both the audiences and judges laughing at his antics. He was born to show!
As a result Silas was awarded Best Household Pet by the Canadian Cat Association (CCA) for the year 2019 - 2020. He also attained the title of Supreme Master Grand Companion. Silas is the Canadian National and regional winner and I could not be more proud!
Vincent of CARMA was also a foster kitten housed at another foster family's home. When I was there for a visit he climbed up on my shoulder and stayed there for the entire visit. He stole my heart and I ended up bringing him home with me.
Vincent was also entered in the CCA shows and he displayed his sweet kitten like personality throughout the show year.
Vincent finished the 2019 - 2020 CCA show season as #3 Best Household Pet Nationally and #2 Regionally. He finished the season as a Grand Champion.
Mercedes is currently the Queen of the house and is ten years old. I adopted her from an animal hospital in Toronto when she was 10 weeks old. She is a true royal but allowing you to give her attention on her terms. She will come to you for petting and scratches but you are "not permitted" by her royal highness to pick her up. She is a very sweet cat and quite tiny under all that fur
Gracie is a beautiful true tuxedo cat about 3 years old. She was also a foster fail though it was her that adopted me first. She was very feral when brought to me as a young mother to care for. She had 4 lovely little tuxedo boys with her and was highly protective.
Once I worked with her enough that she would seek attention and affection from me she was placed up for adoption .Gracie had other ideas and would turn back into that feral cat whenever potential foster families would visit her effectively scaring them away. I told CARMA that if she was with me for 6 months I would end up keeping her as it was becoming obvious she wanted to be here with me and here alone.
Gracie has become a very sweet cat that at times can demand attention quite adamately using head butts to move your arm so you will pay her attention.
